If you’re the type of person who loves hot cereals to get you going in the morning, you’re going to love our hot cereal breakfast. It’s made with at least three types of grains (we vary it up sometimes) so you get plenty of good complex carbs, proteins and fats with the addition of the seeds.

If you’re allergic to something, we can easily modify it for you. Just let us know when you get here. And if you go home and want to make it for yourself, here you go.

Mix one part cereal mix and four parts water, bring to a boil, turn down to simmer and cook covered for about 20 minutes, stirring several times.

If you like it less starchy, rince the grains under cold water for about a minute. We like to stir and let it sit for a few minutes before serving it. Enjoy…

Mix equal parts: 

  • Quinoa
  • Buckwheat cereal
  • Oatmeal
  • Millet (optional)
  • Cinnamon  (the good kind from Sri Lanka)
  • Raisins and/or dates
  • Sunflower and/or Pumpkin seeds
  • Served with butter and brown sugar

Your Kitchenette

Guests have full access to the well-equipped studio kitchenette. In addition to all the good healthy food we happily provide,  you’ll find pretty much everything you need for cooking and preparing the rest of your meals.

Bake a pizza or grill up a steak and shrimp on the outside barbecue. Our only request is that you clean up after yourself because the kitchen and sink area are shared with the studio and other guests. It’s a matter of pride and respect for others.

How do you get your breakfast?

Many of our guests wake up before the break of day in order to go hiking in Glacier National Park or start their work-at-home workday. Other guests enjoy sleeping late.

We want you to eat when you’re ready because breakfast while traveling can be such a challenge (to those of us that are committed to eating healthy food).

You’ll be happy to find that whenever you’re ready to eat your breakfast, you can just open the fridge and your delicious and nutritious choices will be waiting for you. Just heat it up and enjoy. Bon Appetite!

Our Focus on Healthy Foods

Both of us have traveled extensively throughout the world. Elisabeth as a Financial Literacy Expert and Steve as a wandering seeker of new experiences.

Since health is top priority to both of us, we’ve noticed that the hardest part of traveling is finding the type of healthy foods that we’re accustomed to eating.

Our normal, everyday food is always organic.  We eat a diet rich in organic fruits and vegetables, homemade sprouts, organic grains and as grass-fed, free-range meats and chicken. 

Because we crave the fresh, organic, healthy foods we eat at home while traveling, we love to give our guests a great breakfast to start their day.

Food vs. Not-Food

Here at at our little sanctuary we like to say that we serve ‘food’ instead of ‘not food.’

Our healthy organic food energizes us all day long, moves gracefully through our bodies and is effortlessly eliminated as nature intended. It’s a beautiful thing to feel so young and healthy.

Breakfast here is the perfect start for an active hiker or skier or artist in the studio

What is not food?

Processed, packaged, genetically modified, chemicals, fillers, dyes, and basically anything that made in a factory or a laboratory.

What is food?

All Organic fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds, eggs, butter, grains like quinoa, buckwheat, oats and ancient grains like amaranth and teff, organic meats in moderation, little or no dairy, herbs, spices, intention and loving kindness.

We like our healthy foods but we aren’t exactly purists.

Steve is a Chicken-atarian, (basically a vegetarian who justifies eating chicken) and claims that anything on a pizza is automatically organic and vegetarian. The pizza is a magical thing of beauty.

Elisabeth is an omnivore as long as it’s fresh and organic.
